By the nature of this business, our association of
members has resources and connections to provide
aid and comfort to earthquake victims in
Port-au-Prince and other parts of Haiti. Thousands
of IBOs contributed to Haiti Relief through
Amway's online American Red Cross donation
link.
Other notable IBO contributions:
Jim and Nancy Dornan's
Network TwentyOne
Network of Caring partnered with Global
OutReach International to operate a field hospital
and distribute medicine, food, and water. Working
with GO InterNational and Free Wheelchair Mission,
the team also assembled and distributed wheelchairs
to Haitians disabled by the earthquake.
Dr. Clarence Freed of
eFinity was on a surgical mission in Haiti when
the earthquake struck. He spent several days after
the quake tending to the sick and wounded with
scarce supplies and unlimited patience.
Ervin Raber of
MarkerMan has helped has helped thoughtful
Americans supply Haitian missions through the
Haiti Benefit Auction for 27 years. This,
however, was a record season as the organization
raised $400,000 in one weekend and $300,000 in
another to support earthquake relief. They
purchased 100 homes to house displaced families in
Haiti.
The IBOAI is proud of the company we keep. We're an
association whose memebers are making a huge
contribution to the lives of the world's poorest
nation. Their actions speak louder than any
natural disaster could ever rumble or roar.
