Amway.com Will Require Unique Username by Mid-April

Beginning in mid-April, IBO and customer numbers will no longer be allowed to be used for login on Amway.com – you will be required to use your new unique username.

Having a unique username will help enhance Web security – and additional Web security features will be available in mid-April to help protect your information even more!

Online Web security is always appreciated – and also essential! If you have already created your username, why wait until it’s required to begin using it? Start today and be ahead of the game! Come mid-April, you’ll already be in the habit and the transition will be seamless.

If you have not visited the website recently and created your username, please do so today!

Log in at Amway.com go to My Account > Business Information > Account Information.

Create a username with a minimum of six characters with at least one letter or a combination of letters and numbers – it cannot be all numbers.

Be sure the username you choose is something you can easily remember. You can use your e-mail address if you choose. (IBO Numbers cannot be used as usernames.)

Additional Web security features will be introduced in mid-April. Although the following features will be optional when they’re introduced, by mid-June 2011, every IBO and registered customer will need to complete these steps. They’re highly recommended as a smart, simple way to protect your business and personal information.

Create personalized verification that you are at the official Amway.com website. You will select an image and create a verification phrase – your visual verification of that image and phrase at subsequent logins ensures that someone is not pretending to be Amway.com in an effort to gain access to your information.

Select three security questions and provide answers to them. If additional security validation is needed during subsequent sessions at Amway.com, one of the three questions will be presented for your correct response.

Amway will let you know when the additional security options are available so you can take advantage of the added security and encourage downline IBOs to enroll, too. In the meantime, read up on the importance of Web Login Security (PDF).
