An amazing 4,000 Diamonds from around the world gathered in Las Vegas to celebrate Amway Global’s 50th Anniversary as it held its first Global Diamond Forum. Members of the IBOAI Board were there to participate in this historic event.

Jetting in qualifiers from Asia, the Pacific, Europe, and across the Americas, Amway Global celebrated 50 years of growth and success in a city known for big celebrations. From the Parade of Nations at the Welcome Party Monday, May 25, through the big finale – the exciting private Elton John concert at the MGM Grand Garden Thursday, May 28 – this was a Diamond Forum like no other. In between, IBOs paid tribute to the opportunity of humble beginnings that turned into a phenomenal success. They heard from Amway Global Chairman Steve Van Andel and President Doug DeVos, who greeted the huge crowd of well wishers by noting, “It all began as a ripple and turned into a wave. That ripple set in

motion turned into opportunity for people all around the world.” Remaining co-founder Rich DeVos spoke of the four pillars of the business: Freedom, Family, Hope, and Reward, and his hopes for all IBOs: “I hope you never lose the joy of watching people achieve their dreams.” The program ended with an amazing hologram of the late co-founder Jay Van Andel speaking to friends old and new.

Through the week, Diamonds also took a tour of the “Experience Amway” global brand and product expo and strolled through history in an Amway Global timeline. Other highlights included private shows by the amazing Blue Man Group and the extraordinary Cirque du Soleil performing artists.

Global Diamond Forum in Las Vegas continued our 50th Anniversary Celebration, which runs through the end of 2009. Every day it becomes more evident that the foundation of our business: Freedom, Family, Hope, and Reward will energetically take us into the future.
