The motto says so much: A child with a dream… is a
child with a future. It expresses the inspiration of
the U.S. Dream Academy, and it’s why the IBOA
International signed on as a Corporate Partner. We
hope you will partner with them, too.
The U.S. Dream Academy mission statement explains
the organization’s task:
“Through aggressive and innovative academic
enrichment and mentoring, the U.S. Dream Academy is
working to build the dreams of the children of
prisoners and those failing in school; and to
provide the tools that they need to achieve their
dreams."
Can you see yourself helping a child with such
special needs?
An invitation to support the cause
Do you remember Wintley Phipps, the spirit-filled
preacher, world-renowned vocal artist, and innovator
who has spoken and entertained at IBO functions? Mr.
Phipps is the president and CEO of U.S. Dream
Academy, and he invites you to become involved.
Says Mr. Phipps, “The U.S. Dream Academy is a
nationally honored, values-centered e-classroom
empowering at-risk children to achieve their dreams
in the new millennium. It is a youth-focused program
that speaks to the alarming cycle of
inter-generational involvement in the criminal
justice system, effectively lifting the children of
prisoners and those failing in school, out of this
devastating cycle."
Make the IBOA International connection
“There are lots of ways to become involved,” says
Jody, who helped organize the U.S. Dream Academy
Board. “Join local learning centers as organizers
and mentor-volunteers, and give tax-deductible*
donations as a one-time gift or, even better, as a
recurring gift."
IBOs know the value of having a dream.
These kids have dreams, too, but their resources are
limited. Our goal is to help them overcome their
limitations and give substance to those dreams.
Nothing could be closer to an IBO’s heart.
How to act now
