Chris Bryant, the Akron Car Jumper, easily leaps over one car and will soon try for a Guinness World Record by attempting to jump over five.
|
Chris has been featured in
multiple
newspaper articles,
TV news
programs, and even
The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The skill is so special, Nike even
designed a shoe for him called the
Car Jumper and made a
commercial
that became an Internet hit. Chris will also appear in an
upcoming issue
of Amway Global’s
Achieve magazine.
“I
have been jumping over things since I was 8 years old,” says Chris,
now 24. “A couple of reasons that I believe my talent is unique is I
am not very tall; I'm 5'10", and I've been able to do this in spite
of having sickle cell anemia. I don't view having this disease as a
weakness. I use it as strength to be an example to inspire children
to chase their dreams.”
Chris uses his talent not only to inspire, but also to elevate
others. Last fall, he made a special appearance at a
heart walk fund raising event sponsored by
MarkerMan Productions for the
American Heart Association, jumping a car 37 times!
He’s also made jumps for
local schools and churches.
