The 2005
IBOAI Board - working for you
Chances are, when you registered your business,
you joined the
Independent Business Owners Association
International - an organization dedicated to
supporting your needs.
Like you, the
people who serve on the IBOAI's Board or
Directors are proud to be Independent Business
Owners. They're ready to protect the integrity
of the Independent Business Ownership Plan,
ensure as-good or better opportunities for the
future, and improve the quality and potential of
this opportunity by advising and consulting with
Quixtar on all aspects of the business.
The IBOAI Board
meets four times throughout the year to discuss
issues and to make recommendations for the
growth and success of the business. The Board's
seven committees are responsible for some of the
most important issues that affect your business.
Executive
Committee exercises the powers and
authorities of the IBOAI between regular and
special Board meetings, including the
appointment of members to the other six standing
committees. The officers also review
recommendations from IBOs like you.
Awards and
Recognition Committee evaluates and
recommends changes to the Quixtar Business
Incentives and IBO Plan.
Legal and
Ethics Committee focuses on the Rules of
Conduct for IBOs and addresses a variety of
related topics such as the internet, dispute
resolution, and professional development
programs.
Business
Operations Committee reviews new products
and programs, distribution methods,
communication technology, and similar matters
affecting the operation of every IBO business.
Multicultural
and International Committee focuses on the
needs of today's ever-increasing multicultural
marketplace as well as policies regarding
business outside of North America.
Hearing and
Disputes Committee helps facilitate and
promote the mutually satisfactory resolutions of
concerns and disputes as outlined in the Rules
of Conduct (11.3).
Marketing
Advisory Committee (to be featured in an
upcoming issue) reviews and provides input to
Quixtar about catalogs, product lines,
marketing, Quixtar.com, and more.
This is your
business and your organization. Make a
difference by sharing your thoughts and ideas
with your fellow members and the IBOAI Board.
