In the future, observers will mark 2006 as not
only a successful year for this business but a pivotal one
as well.

Successful
because 2006 was another billion-dollar
sales year. Because the Health and
Beauty business lines continued to grow,
led by
XS™ Energy Drinks,
Nutrilite®
Brainiums
DHA™ Dietary Supplement,
Gensona™
Genetic Tests, and
Artistry®
Time
Defiance®
Skin Care. And because achievement at
all levels – from the new IBO Crown
Ambassador – remained strong, including
increased numbers of IBOs qualifying for
Achievers Invitational, Diamond Club,
and Peter Island.
Yet, 2006 was also pivotal because of
the commitment to fresh ideas and new
approaches by the Board of the
Independent Business Owners
Association International.
With the Board's support, the
Quixtar Business Incentives
program was streamlined and refocused to more
effectively reward IBOs. "The Facts About Quixtar"
DVD was created to assist Independent Business Owners during the
Sponsoring process. Every IBO was given the
opportunity to have a customized personal retail website through
Quixtar. And the Board
began collaborating with Quixtar on retooling the
product portfolio to increase retail sales and IBO
profitability. |

In
addition to meeting in October on these
and other initiatives, the Board elected
Jim Janz chairman of the executive
committee and Don Wilson vice chairman.
Also announced were the new Board
members who begin three-year terms in
January: Bob Andrews, Chris Brady, Bill
Hawkins, Joe Markiewicz, John Merris,
and Kathy Victor.The Board's ad hoc Marketing Advisory
Committee also saw changes, with the
retirement of Cheryl Biegert, Laurie
Duncan (chair), and Molly Hughes and the
election of Terry Andrews, Sandy
Hawkins, and Terry Holland.
Finally, as is the annual custom at
the closing session of its
October meeting, the Board presented special service awards:
this year, the Joe Victor Leadership Award to Steve Woods
and the Jere Dutt Lifetime Achievement to Jim Janz. |
