Amway Global was just honored by their peers for innovating IBO
businesses. They earned high praise at the
Direct
Selling Association (DSA) Awards by receiving the Technology
Innovation Award and as finalists for the Excellence in Salesforce
Development Award.
Amway Global was honored with the
Technology Innovation Award for their top-in-class
iPhone
app. Said the DSA,
“A robust application is transforming the way Amway Global
independent business owners (IBOs) recruit, sell and manage their
businesses. Amid huge excitement, the application reached number
four on the iTunes ‘top 25 business apps’ list in December. With
IBOs’ adoption and usage growing each month, it already accounts for
seven percent of online business productivity inquiries.”
In addition, Amway Global was honored as a finalist for the
Excellence in Salesforce Development Award for an innovative
video the Corporation produced with
IBOAI
Governance & Oversight Committee
Chairman Jody
Victor and
former IBOAI Chairman Bill Hawkins in league with the comedy
group Second
City Improv. Explains Alison Hague, Amway Global Director of
Training and Education, “Amway worked with two very successful key
leaders to teach other leaders how to apply the principles of
improvisational theater to their businesses: Tongue-in-cheek videos,
amusing exercises, and banter between Jody Victor, Bill Hawkins, and
the Second City players proved that using humor is an effective way
to educate.” She noted that since the training, those who attended
say they have experienced twice the increase in New IBO
registrations and an increase of one and a half times the number of
new customers compared with those of a random control group.
Awards were presented at ceremonies held June 8, 2010, in San
Francisco.
