Amway Global reports that the December 2007 issue of a leading U.S. consumer magazine has ranked the Atmosphere® Air Purifier among some of the best air purification systems in the industry. However, the study conducted by the magazine did not take into consideration odor reduction, relying more heavily on the Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR). Unlike the other top filters in the review, the Atmosphere Air Purifier focuses not only on reducing particulates from the air, but also focuses on the reduction of odor.

Amway Global believes that the Atmosphere Air Purifier is superior to that of the competition in the article. In order to reduce both particulates and odors in the air, Atmosphere uses three distinct filters:

• HEPA filter for particulates.

In addition, the consumer magazine states that the yearly cost of filters is $869 (suggested retail), which is inaccurate. The actual average filter replacement cost range is closer to $334.40 (suggested retail).
