The New Platinums attending Session Two in Michigan were greeted enthusiastically at the Business Meeting by Angie Polsgrove, National Sales Director, Jeff Johnson, Canada & Caribbean Sales Manager, and Ruben Familia, General Manager of the Dominican Republic. Sandy Spielmaker, Vice President of U.S. Sales, joined them in their warm welcome and to the delight of all the new Platinums, introduced Amway President Doug DeVos and President of the Americas, Tanios Viviani.

On stage together, Doug and Tanios addressed questions previously submitted by several New Platinums regarding how the business is doing globally, Amway's current areas of focus, and what they would recommend new Platinums do now. Tanios advised them not to let barriers become obstacles while Doug recommended they celebrate achieving Platinum level and then, "Set new goals. Dream new dreams." It was only fitting to follow up these respected leaders with a video from Amway's co-founder and infamous leader, Rich DeVos.

The positive business update from Sandy Spielmaker kept the energy and enthusiasm level high among the new Platinums. 31 months of consecutive growth in North America is something to cheer about! And then hearing about being a successful IBO leader from charismatic IBOAI Vice-Chair, Bob Andrews, added to the fervor.

IBO guests shared their experiences and insights as successful leaders. Dean and Marcie Whalen spoke to the four pillars - freedom, family, hope, reward - and how they relate to their lives and this wonderful Business Opportunity. Theo Galan Jr. , son of Double Diamonds Theo and Maribel Galan, remarked on the value of partnership and partnering with Amway. Theo also commented that leadership is influence and influence is trust. As a leader, you need to do what you say you're going to do and assume responsibility. He reminded the new Platinums that leaders build leaders. That is success.

Special guest Walter Bond, an inspiring motivational speaker and former NBA player for the Dallas Mavericks, closed the Business Meeting with an amazing talk on reaching your full potential and living your best life. With humor and honesty, he captivated the audience and left them with practical advice and life-applicable tools they can use.
