The program offers a full suite of personal and small business insurance products from which IBOs may select either one policy to round out current insurance benefits or take advantage of a complete benefits package that covers you and your family’s health, life, and future.

The IBO Insurance Benefits program offers lower group rates on most plans including term life plans, disability income protection, dental insurance, vision insurance, retiree Medicare supplement and prescription plan, long-term care, accident insurance, cancer indemnity insurance, hospital indemnity plans, pharmacy solutions, and auto and home insurance. IBOs also have access to a large variety of major medical plans.

Marsh USA Inc. is the insurance broker for Independent Business Owners (IBOs) for commercial general liability and business property insurance for all participating members of the Independent Business Owners Benefits Association (IBOBA). See full brochure.

General liability insurance protects IBOs against occurrences of bodily injury, property damage, personal injury and advertising injury during the conduct of their Independent Business. The IBOBA insurance program provides IBO policyholders the ability to quickly obtain certificates of insurance showing coverage, as needed for any event or meeting.

Business property insurance protects IBOs against losses resulting from physical damage to business inventory, samples, sales literature, equipment, and other personal and real property used primarily in the conduct of their Independent Business. Even when operating an Independent Business from the home, business property may be uninsured without a commercial policy.

Only applies to operations directly related to IBO business as described in IBO Plan for North America

  • Business Property Insurance Coverage - $50,000 maximum limit ($250 deductible)
  • Contingent Business Interruption Coverage - $50,000 maximum limit ($5,000 deductible)
  • Business Liability Coverage - $1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate (no deductible)
  • Coverages subject to additional coverage limits, sub-limits, restrictions, conditions, exclusions as more fully described in annual IBOBA Insurance Program brochure (and actual policies)
