Hurricane Michael was the strongest to ever strike the Gulf Coast of Florida and its devastating effects will be felt for years to come. This Category 4 hurricane left a path of shocking destruction as it plowed through northern Florida on October 10, 2018. Powerful winds and torrential rains also pelted areas of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia as the storm moved out into the Atlantic Ocean.
